Media & appearance agreement

MEDIA OWNERSHIP AND APPEARANCE AGREEMENT Rights holders: Wayne & Debbie Nordeen, operating as BootLegged / BootLegged Productions.

Copyright ownership I confirm that I own the copyright in the submitted photos, moving images or video, or that the adult copyright owner has supplied a signed agreement granting the rights below. In return for acceptance of the entry for contest and music-video consideration, I assign my transferable copyright in the submitted media to Wayne & Debbie Nordeen worldwide for its full legal term, including extensions and renewals, to the extent permitted by law. I understand this transfers copyright ownership. No appearance fee, payment or royalties are owed, whether or not the entry wins or is used.

If any assignment is ineffective, I grant the rights holders a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence, perpetual and irrevocable to the extent legally permitted, to reproduce, edit, crop, adapt, combine, distribute, display, perform and otherwise use the submitted media in BootLegged music videos, music releases, websites, social media, advertising, publicity and related promotional materials in any media now known or later developed. I waive my moral rights in favour of the rights holders and their authorized users to the extent permitted by law, including objections to authorized edits and omitted credit.

Appearance permission I permit my likeness and, where captured, voice and performance to be used for the BootLegged purposes above, worldwide and indefinitely to the extent permitted by law, without payment, royalties, final-edit approval or guaranteed credit. Published material may remain available after the contest ends. I release claims arising solely from those expressly authorized uses, to the extent permitted by law. I do not authorize unlawful uses or waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

Other people and children I cannot grant another adult’s appearance permission or assign someone else’s copyright without authority. Every other identifiable adult must sign an appearance release. Before submitting any child’s media, I must email info@BootLeggedTheBand.com, obtain the appropriate guardian forms and return them completed. For each minor, the organizer must verify the authority and consent of their own parent/legal guardian before use. A guardian does not automatically own a child’s copyright; any separate legally valid rights agreement must be completed before that media is used. All required permissions are due by November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. America/Toronto.

I understand that entry and media selection do not guarantee a prize, appearance or credit. I may contact info@BootLeggedTheBand.com with questions about these terms or privacy. My electronic signature below is intended to sign this agreement for the rights I personally hold or am legally authorized to grant. A separate signature is needed from other rights holders.

Non-waivable rights and mandatory privacy protections remain applicable.
