What exactly should I send?
Two original selfies: one horizontal, at least 1920 × 1080 pixels, and one vertical, at least 1080 × 1920 pixels. Use your phone’s highest quality, good light and sharp focus. Photos, moving images and short selfie videos are welcome; 5–15 seconds is recommended for videos. JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, MOV and WebM are accepted, up to 50 MB per file. Pixel dimensions matter here, rather than a DPI setting.
Do I have to sing, lip-sync or copy the video?
No. Watch the video to get the mood, then bring your own personality. The entrant must appear, and someone in the picture must take the selfie. Avoid AI faces, heavy face filters, unconsenting bystanders and music you don’t own. Submit the original files.
Can I enter with friends or children?
Yes. Every other identifiable adult must supply a signed appearance release, and the actual media owner must sign the rights agreement. Before uploading any child’s media, email us for the guardian forms and return them completed. Each child needs their own guardian’s consent. One entry per person; a group photo doesn’t create extra entries.
What rights am I giving BootLegged?
Entry includes a copyright transfer to Wayne & Debbie Nordeen, operating as BootLegged / BootLegged Productions, for rights you own and can legally transfer. It also includes a fallback licence, moral rights waiver where lawful, and permission to use your likeness and any recorded voice/performance in BootLegged videos and promotion worldwide without payment or royalties. You can’t transfer someone else’s rights just by uploading their work. Separate owners and other people pictured must provide their own signed permissions; a guardian does not automatically own a child’s copyright. Read the complete media agreement ↗
Will I definitely appear in the video or win?
Neither is guaranteed. BootLegged chooses video media for quality, suitability and creative fit. The prize is a separate random draw on November 29, 2026 from eligible entries. Being in the video doesn’t guarantee the prize, and winning doesn’t guarantee a video appearance. No purchase is necessary; odds depend on eligible entries received.
What is the prize, and how will you contact the winner?
One winner receives a BootLegged merch package worth approximately $200 CAD and two RockStock Canada 2027 Weekend VIP passes worth over $400 CAD combined. Travel, accommodation and camping are excluded. The potential winner is emailed within seven days of the draw and must reply within seven days, meet eligibility and permission requirements, and answer the skill-testing question. Free standard merch shipping within Canada; outside Canada, duties and taxes apply—email us before entering to confirm international postage.
When do entries close, and how do I know mine arrived?
Entries are open October 15 through November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Toronto time. Wait for the “Click. You’re in!” screen and save your BL reference number. Your entry is only complete after both files finish uploading and that confirmation appears. No automatic email receipt is sent. If an upload fails, keep your originals and try again. For corrections, email us with your reference; don’t submit a second entry.
Are my images and contact details visible to everyone?
No. Other visitors can’t browse entries. Organizers review uploads and permissions privately; selected media may later appear in BootLegged’s video or promotion under your signed agreement. Contact details and release documents are not published as entry content. Submitting does not sign you up for marketing. Read the rules and privacy terms ↗
